MoneyWalk is a step-tracking app created by the dot. We designed it to work without accounts, cloud syncing, or external storage of your health data.
HealthKit Data
MoneyWalk reads step count, active energy burned, walking and running distance, Apple Exercise Time, and flights climbed from Apple Health with your permission. We do not read workout records or your full Health history as a file export. This data is used on your device to track progress, power insights, and calculate rewards.
Raw HealthKit samples and your complete Apple Health database are not uploaded to our servers and are not sold. We do not use HealthKit data to personalize advertising.
Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics: things like screen views, navigation, and in-app events (for example when you complete a goal, start a session, or view the paywall). To understand how features are used, some events include numeric summaries such as step counts toward your goal, daily goal values, or streak-related numbers. We do not send your name, email, or raw HealthKit samples to PostHog, and we do not use PostHog to advertise to you. Analytics may use a pseudonymous device or installation identifier in line with PostHog's normal operation.
Local Storage
Goals, streaks, points, preferences, and other app settings are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. We do not operate user accounts or cloud databases for MoneyWalk.
In-App Purchases
Subscription and purchase data is managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not process or store payment card details or billing information.
Advertising
MoneyWalk uses Google AdMob to display a small banner ad at the bottom of the app for free users.
Showing ads may involve sharing limited device and ad-related data with Google and its advertising partners in accordance with AdMob's policies. MoneyWalk does not use your HealthKit data for advertising.
